Had an enquiry last week asking we could do a roof inspection in the Tredegar area, The customer has water ingress into her property and scaffolding, due to the property construction was not a viable option.
DPW were ideally placed only being a few miles away and we had the right equipment.. We agreed a mutually agreeable day. We conducted a quick check with Gwent Police who were happy with the work taking place, so this afternoon the big bird came out.
The DJI Inspire 1 with a Z3 x7 zoom camera allowed us to fly higher and further away, but still capture some great photos for the customer.
2 flights with a total of 28 minutes of flight time, resulted in 130 photos of various aspects of the customers roof and a number of videos for clarity and navigation of the area.
All valleys and lead flashings were examined, it was noted that the flashing on the chimney was suspect and some of the valleys and guttering seen to be fowled.
The customer will use the data supplied to make an effective decision and will go on to supply the information to a building contractor to perform the necessary remedial works..
